- Slobproof! is a small, Maryland-based furniture and design company that is certified WBE – Women’s Business Enterprise.
- All Slobproof! seating is made in the USA. All of our furniture frames are made in the USA. Not many manufacturers make 100% of their products in the USA, which is why we’re so proud that we do!
- All Slobproof! fabrics are certified SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold and complies with Section 01350 California standards. We offer a five-year warranty on our moisture barrier. What that means for you is that we absolutely stand by the statement that our fabric will remain spill, moisture, bacteria, and odor-free!
- All Slobproof! seating frames are Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI) Approved. Our 100% kiln-dried maple hardwood frames come from forests approved by the sustainable forest initiative. Each frame is screwed, glued, corner-blocked and guaranteed for life! The glue that is used to reinforce our screwed and corner-blocked frames is water based and contains no harmful chemicals.
- 100% of the materials used in Slobproof’s frames and cushions come from the USA and most of the materials come from within a few miles of our North Carolina furniture factory, so that no questionable materials or hazardous materials are being used in the product, thereby minimizing our carbon footprint.
- Slobproof! cushions meet the highest environmental standards and include these materials:
- Ecru fabric: Down proof ticking is 100% cotton unbleached fabric.
- Regenerated Fiber: 100% recycled materials. Made from clear and white plastic bottles. This material is renewed into its original form, then reprocessed into fiber.
- Feather/Down: Feather and down are natural products. All of our feather and down are washed in an 8 – step process using biodegradable soaps which allow our fill to not only be natural, but also hypo-allergenic. All of our toss pillows are feather and down.
- Soy Foam: (seat cushions only) – Plant-based soy beans replace 20% of the foam with natural soy ingredients.
- Every material that is used in our cushions is chosen with the environment, the health and the comfort of our customers in mind!
- Our seat cushions come standard in 2.5lb foam core banded with polyester fiber. This cushion is then encased in a down proof tick cover, offering superior, long-lasting seat comfort that’s guaranteed for life.
- Slobproof! furniture comes with a lifetime warranty on the hardwood frame; a lifetime warranty on the 2.5lb seat cushion and a five year warranty on the fabric. You won’t get this from any other seating manufacturer in the world
