It’s All in the Details: Part 2

Before Photo

After giving the bedroom a bit of a face lift, it was time to work on the adjoining sitting room.  In this room we are using the same wallcovering from the accent wall in the bedroom, then adding some simple linen shades to control the light.  New chairs, a rug and an ottoman make this room perfect for sitting back and relaxing!

It’s All in the Details!

Before Photo

For this bedroom, we wanted to add a little drama (the good kind!) to the space without changing the bed or ceiling mural.  Our solution– build a custom architectural detail.  The mahogany detail beautifully highlights the room’s unique shape while the inset lighting adds an additional light source for late night reading.  The wavy wallpaper applied the accent wall completes the look while complementing the mural above.

Okay, how do you create the illusion of running water…in a bedroom?  Back up the toilet? Overflow the tub?  Add a fish tank?  How about this utterly cool silk fabric from Schumacher we used to give the appearance of flowing water in master bedroom drapes.  It looks like it’s watering the garden in the silk and wool Thomas O’Brien rug!  Check out the rest of the room- the table lamps from Arteriors are my favorite and the upholstered bed and the mirrored chests are from Bernhardt.
