For this bedroom, we wanted to add a little drama (the good kind!) to the space without changing the bed or ceiling mural. Our solution– build a custom architectural detail. The mahogany detail beautifully highlights the room’s unique shape while the inset lighting adds an additional light source for late night reading. The wavy wallpaper applied the accent wall completes the look while complementing the mural above.
Our Design!
The Problem: We wanted to give our client the look of wallcovering without damaging his walls.
Our Solution: Order wallcovering and have it applied to wood panels that can be mounted to the wall! We painted the edges of the panels to give it a finished look and then mounted them behind our client’s bed. Now he has three pieces that look like high end art work and can travel with him to his next home!
Who wouldn’t have sweet dreams in this bedroom? The combination of the wallpaper and the lime green antique iron beds give this restored historic fishing lodge in the Adirondacks a wonderfully surreal atmosphere.
